I.T. Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist will provide technical support and assistance to employees within the manufacturing facility, ensuring the efficient operation of hardware, software, and network systems. This role serves as the point of contact for IT-related issues, troubleshooting, and resolving technical problems to minimize downtime in the production environment. The IT Support Specialist works closely with other IT staff to maintain a secure and reliable IT infrastructure that supports manufacturing processes and business operations. The ideal candidate will provide technical support, maintain IT systems, and ensure seamless operations across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be solutions orientated and have experience troubleshooting technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support
- Serve as a point of contact for diagnosing and resolving a wide range of IT issues related to hardware, software, and network systems.
- Provide on-site and remote support for employees, production lines, and operational systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain specialized manufacturing software, including ERP Systems.
- Diagnose, repair, maintain and install all hardware and associated software to ensure workstation performance.
System Maintenance and Upgrades
- Perform regular updates and maintenance of hardware and software to ensure system reliability and security.
- Assist in the deployment and implementation of new technologies to support manufacturing growth.
- Manage servers, workstations and other networking equipment. Monitor system performance and conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
User Training and Support
- Provide training to employees on the effective use of IT systems and tools.
- Assist in managing and maintaining user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Walk employees through troubleshooting steps for common hardware or software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Project Management
- Collaborate with different departments to support IT-related projects, including system upgrades and process improvements.
- Assist in planning and execution of IT-related projects, including system migrations and process automation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows 11, Windows Server (2012R2-2024), including Hyper-V Virtualization.
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Salary Pay Range – $24 – 30 per hour
