Facilities Maintenance Mechanic

KH Industries, a leading manufacturer in Hamburg, is looking to hire a team member to add to the Maintenance Department. A successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, repair and overhaul of machines, maintaining and improving building infrastructure and preparation and setup of new equipment. The candidate may also be responsible for various building and grounds maintenance.

The goal of the Maintenance Mechanic is to keep all equipment functioning properly to ensure output. This is a first shift position, from 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in ongoing plant upgrades and projects
• Maintain and update building electrical systems as needed
• Ensure critical manufacturing systems, including air, electrical and central chiller, are maintained and operational
• Complete all necessary preventative maintenance on production, assembly and auxiliary equipment.
• Repair, upgrade or overhaul of used equipment brought into the facility.
• Provide assistance to production team when needed.
• General building maintenance and upkeep.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 1-5 years of maintenance experience.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

• Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of 3-phase electrical systems is a plus.
• General knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be “hands on” type of individual.

Salary: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
